How we helped a digital marketing agency expand its footprint and grow revenues by launching a freelance marketplace?

Xposure is a UAE-based freelancing platform that offers a platform for service providers to find freelancers online. Xposure ran a studio in Dubai and wanted to leverage its Instagram following to create an on-demand service marketplace for creative professionals.

We dealt with some challenging requirements and helped Xposure launch a single cross-platform mobile app for service providers and seekers using React Native.

The client had a unique and peculiar requirement for his new marketplace app, which was challenging to cater initially.

Generally, any marketplace platform has dedicated mobile apps for service providers and seekers. But in this case, the client was looking to develop a single app for both freelancers as well as clients. Xposure wanted to build a single-point solution that can be used by clients and freelancers (no separate packages or apps).

Secondly, the client was looking for a simple UI despite having several unique service categories. This posed a serious challenge in UI/UX design, looking at the need for a streamlined user flow for freelancers and clients within a single application.

Based on the requirements and deep competitive research, we developed a modern, clean, and sleek UI design with intuitive journeys for both freelancers and clients.

Using a single sign-in system for both client and freelancer with a toggle switch between their state (seeker/provider) helped tackle the problem of launching a single platform for both. A bidding system was introduced that required freelancers to buy connections for applying to a job to monetize the platform.
